800-Year-Old Medieval Manor House
For some hen parties, it’s essential to be in the centre of a city. But for some, there’s a definite appeal to be had by choosing a destination where the accommodation itself is the main draw.
If that sounds like you, then congratulations, this is an accommodation option that you are going to absolutely love. This is a beautiful **Medieval Mansion** located in a beautiful area of Wales. It’s over eight hundred years old and has had all modern facilities cleverly incorporated to ensure that it appeals to everyone. Just take a look at the pictures—it’s beautiful!
The even better news is that it’s not in the middle of nowhere. There are many nearby options for activities, nights out, and visits to some of the most popular city locations for a hen do.
Location: Near Bristol, Bath & Cardiff
This beautiful manor house is located in **Caldicot**, South Wales, on the southern tip of the Wye Valley. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is a perfect place for you and the girls to relax.
But don’t panic – it’s not isolated! In fact, it’s only twenty minutes drive from **Bristol**, thirty minutes from **Cardiff**, and thirty-five minutes from **Bath**. This means you are able to choose from a huge number of options as far as nightlife goes.
Obviously, one of the appeals of being in a house like this is having activities come to you. With things like Mobile Cocktail Making, Private Chef Hire, and Mobile Pampering sessions (not to mention the option to add a Cheeky Butler), you could very well be fulfilled without even having to leave the building.

Many party houses have boring, identikit kitchens, but in this Mystery Mansion, there’s a farmhouse period kitchen. Don’t panic though, it’s been cleverly updated to ensure that it also contains modern conveniences. It features a range cooker, a larder fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee machine.
And then, right down the middle of the dining room is a gorgeous **Long Wooden Table** with benches either side. This will easily seat all fourteen of you, so whether you are cooking a meal for yourselves or whether you have splashed out and got the caterers in, this is one of the best houses in the world for you to eat, drink, and be merry.

The lounge is located in the **Great Hall** of the Mystery Mansion and is a perfect mixture of old and new. It combines the style and history of the eight-hundred-year-old building with modern facilities.
There is a flat-screen TV filled with all the latest streamers such as Netflix and Disney+. There’s a huge fireplace and a wide range of comfortable seating, to ensure that whether you spend one hour or twelve hours in the lounge, you’ll be relaxed in one of the most perfect historic houses you’ve ever seen.
