Rural Hen Party Cottage Near Bournemouth
Salisbury is an amazing place. A small city close to the traditional staycation destination of Bournemouth and the City of Southampton. Salisbury has held city status for centuries, which goes to show its historical importance. Its famous Cathedral is a dominating and impressive landmark among a city that fuses centuries-old and modern-day buildings. In fact, the City was so important that Salisbury Cathedral possesses one of the four original drafts of the Magna Carta—worth visiting to check out a piece of British History!
Obviously, we’re meant to be talking about Salisbury as a hen do destination, so I’ll stop with the history lesson! Salisbury Cottage is a great hen party accommodation about 4 miles from the City. It can sleep up to eight guests comfortably in three rooms, meaning it’s the ideal party house for smaller groups who want a great level of privacy on their hen do, yet still be relatively close to vibrant towns or cities to enjoy other activities.
Location: Near New Forest & Stonehenge
As mentioned, Salisbury lies a little over 4 miles away and is easy to get to by cab or car. The city has a good number of options for activities. Escape Rooms are available for those who wish to take on a classic challenge, and for those who want to indulge, you can enjoy great value activities like the Bottomless Brunch. If you’re a wine aficionado, there’s a smashing Vineyard outside the city centre offering tours and tastings. Salisbury Racecourse is always a popular hen do activity for those who want to get their glad rags on and enjoy a flutter. Finally, the legendary Stonehenge is only a 20-minute drive away and always worth a visit.
The New Forest is a short drive away and offers hen dos something a little different. Activities include Horse Riding and the challenging High Ropes Course. The New Forest also has a water sports centre offering a hilarious Inflatable Waterpark. For a quieter day, the many small villages of The New Forest have a number of pubs and restaurants offering traditional menus. For car lovers, the Beaulieu Motor Museum is a great attraction, and the grounds offer a fantastic place for a picnic.
One thing you may wish to do is head to the beach. The ever-popular Bournemouth beaches are only 27 miles away on ‘A’ roads, so you’re not far away from some sun, sea, and sand. In Bournemouth, there is also a fantastic selection of hen do activities as well as nightlife if you want to spread your wings for a day out.
Private Garden with Hot Tub
The charming Salisbury Cottage has a small garden perfect for guests to laze around and enjoy the sunshine. Hen dos will no doubt appreciate the top-of-the-range Hot Tub, which is the perfect way to spend time relaxing, whatever the time of day.
There’s plenty of seating, with pub-style benches and tables, as well as other garden furniture. Superb barbecue facilities are provided for you to enjoy an alfresco grill or two throughout your stay. There is plenty of parking on site, and the garden is framed by high hedgerows, giving your group much-needed privacy.

There are two bathrooms in the property, and three spacious bedrooms, some of which come with bedroom furniture to store your belongings. All towels and linen are provided for your convenience.

Cosy Lounge & Dining Area
The large dining area with seating for all eight of your party acts as a great social space to enjoy any hen party games you’ve brought with you, and mealtimes keep everyone together. The spacious lounge area includes a wood burner for those cooler evenings, and some firewood is provided should your stay be during the winter months.
There’s also a large wall-mounted TV and sofas for everyone, meaning movie nights are definitely on the menu. The kitchen area comes with all the mod cons your group would need for your celebration, including all cookware, glassware, and cutlery.
